Championship providers were civil organization Ultimate Fighting Federation and Severnaya Stolitsa Fund with the support of State Duma Committee for Physical Education, Sports and Youth and of St. Petersburg Government. 

This year the tournament was timed to the 15-th anniversary of Ultimate Fighting Federation. The participants of the competitions were the best representatives of mixed martial arts and veterans of martial arts from Russia, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, States of the Caucus, Baltic, Europe and North America.
